We want you to be among the first to experience the tranquil, unique spirit of multicultural Mauritius in a stylish, exciting new setting. LUX* Grand Gaube reopens this December, and exclusive launch rates are available for bookings made by 30th November.

Award-winning British visionary, Kelly Hoppen, and Mauritius’ leading architect, Jean-Francois Adam, have reinvented Indian Ocean living at this five-star resort on the African island’s northern coast. On LUX* Grand Gaube's beautiful private bay, you will find 86 bedrooms and suites, two beaches, tropical gardens, forward-thinking restaurants and sociable bars, a luxe-for-less boutique and an indoor cinema.

“The earth here has a story – I can’t put my finger on it, but when I walked around I could feel the history. There’s a powerful energy. Each area feels like it has it’s own story. You walk out onto the jetty, there’s a 200-degree view over the water, and you’re in a place that feels more like the Hamptons.  Next you go to Beach Rouge, and it’s a different feeling entirely - then you turn the corner there’s a whole new retail concept. For me, creating anything is about coming up with a concept that has longevity; a timeless luxury – something you’ll always want. I’m not into gimmicks; I want to create the feeling that you’re at home.”

Throughout LUX* Grand Gaube's US$32 million renovation project, nature and wellness were always front of mind. Step from every sea-view bedroom onto peaceful terraces, some with outdoor baths or sundecks edged by soft, golden sand. Heaven was modelled on Mauritius — at least, according to the writer Mark Twain — and with the lush greenery and gently lapping shallow lagoon waters of this sheltered resort, you would be inclined to agree.
